To set up services in your name within 1-2 business days, please visit one of our locations: 235 Government Center Dr. or 305 Chestnut St. - 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Applications and forms may be submitted in person or online.

Landlords, Tenants & Transferring Responsibility

Landlords Property owners to decide whether to retain control over new accounts for tenant-occupied properties or transfer responsibility to the tenant. Transfer of Responsibility
Property Managers In order to handle an account for a property owner, you must submit a Property Management Agreement to Customer Service to be placed on file.   Submit Form
Transfer Takes effect upon acceptance of Transfer of Responsibility Form.  
Costs The tenant will be responsible for the $55 new service fee and payment of any deposit required.  
Making Changes Changes to or revoking of tenant responsibility must be made in writing by the owner and submitted to Customer Service. If the owner decides to be reinstated, then for any future tenants, the owner will have to fill out another election form if they want to transfer responsibilities for the bill. Submit Form
Termination Tenants that are moving out should complete the Termination of Service form to stop the billing in their name as of the written stop date. This reactivates the owner's account. **If the tenant does not fill out this form, the tenant will be responsible for the utility bill until either a new tenant moves in or if the owner takes back responsibility for utilities.** Tenant Termination of Service
 Trash Services If the property will be vacant for some time, the owner should contact CFPUA to have the carts picked up if they would like to suspend charges for this service. Contact Us
